Thank you to everyone who auditioned to be part of the 5th Encore! Sydney Pole Show! This was another year of an overwhelming response with so many fabulous concepts. These are the performers that have been selected …
Amber Ray & Jedda Jordan
Two pole dance greats have teamed up as a double act for Encore! Amber is a professional performer and instructor in both the pole dance industry and dance entertainment industry. Amber believes that when it comes to pole dance, she likes to take it as an art form. Combining both the strength skills likened to circus performance, and mixing it with dance and acting skills, she produces an overall show. Jedda Jordan is a Pole Artist with 8 years experience and was crowned Miss Pole Dance Australia 2014!
Andrea James Lui
Andrea James Lui was born and raised in Canada, but trained mostly at Arena Pole Studio in Melbourne. Most recently, she performed at Miss Pole Dance Victoria, Victorian Pole Championships, and Australian Pole Championships… However, her passion lies, not in competing, but in entertaining – polers and non-polers alike!
Artemis’ performances cover a variety of styles, including classic sexy pole dance, lyrical, contemporary, showgirl/burlesque, and the occasional foray into hip-hop. Artemis always aims to impress upon her audience that skill is not dependent on size or shape – the beauty and passion of dance is for every body.
Like many I had a childhood background in ballet and tap dancing. Later I took up competitive Latin Ballroom dance and later again I saw a pole studio and was intrigued enough to sign up for lessons. Four years later I am still in love with the art.
I have been dancing and performing a range of dance styles for over 12 years. For the last 4 years I have focused strongly on pole dance, burlesque and latin dance styles. I currently dance and teach at Haus of Pole in Sydney and perform with the “Salsettes”, a latin dance performance group.
I have been pole dancing for 7 years and train with various schools around Sydney. This year I competed in Miss Pole Dance NSW, as well as performing in Pole Dance Evolution Company’s “Elements” production. Prior to pole I trained as a stage actor at the Actor’s Centre in Sydney, and enjoy combining this with pole to engage my full body, mind and spirit in every performance.
Ivy Rain has been dancing since she was 4 years old in various styles including classical ballet, contemporary and jazz. She took her love for dance to university where she studied a Bachelor of Dance Education. After the birth of her first son she was eager to extend her dance repertoire and get her “sexy back”. Her style is sexy and sassy with high heels and a smile.
In 2008 Luke found himself in an urban hip pop crew called Night Shade. They mostly did small flash mobs and owned the nightclub dance floors. They had a range of difference dancers from ballet to pop and lock and even tap. Later he found what he was looking for – a style of dance that he could make unique, that challenged him mentally and physically beyond anything he had ever done – pole dance.
I have been pole dancing for 2.5 years, I have a gymnastics background and I am a working artist. I find that being able to combine my gymnastics with the more creative/artistic elements of pole dancing have lead me in some very unexpected and interesting directions. Winner of: Pole Theatre 2014 Pole Art and Over All Champion, Miss Pole Dance New Zealand 2013 – Elite Category 3rd Place
Malinda & Isis
Malinda and Isis have started pole dancing as a duo 1 year ago. They immediately enjoyed the partnership that comes with training for double, and the fusion of acrobatic, strength and dancing elements. Malinda has a a background in latin dancing and is currently teaching in Pole Dance Academy where they met. Isis has been training in Pole Dance Academy and has recently started teaching in Byrnes Dance Image. They performed in many NSW events and competitions, including the APC National Final this year!
Miss Nikki Anne
I’ve been dancing my whole life. Since the age of 3, the dance studio has been my second home and my happy place. The stage is no mystery to me; I have been performing since 1997, and loving every moment of the spot light. Since the end of 2012, I have been incorporating my 14 years of dance training into my Pole Dance style and choreography to create pieces of art that I love performing.
Miss Phoenyx is from Dresden (Germany) where she studied and performed both ballroom dance and cabaret theatre. In 2011 while she was travelling through Australia she discovered Pole dancing and fell in love with it. Since then she has graced many stages and developed a passion for both freestyle and choreographed dance telling a story.

Penelope P Pitbull
Penelope P Pitbull started her pole dancing journey in 2009 as a knee-jerk reaction to a break up with an ex boyfriend. Simply “looking for something to do” to occupy her time, she found a life changing experience. Through the confidence she has gained from pole dancing Lauren has developed her passion of twerking and shaking her ass at every opportunity she has.
Winners of The Pole Games, 2014!
Being a team with such varied dance backgrounds (including ballet, cheerleading, contemporary, hip hop, bollywood, belly dancing & acrobatics), the aim is to always showcase everybody’s strengths along with some intense doubles and triples tricks. Pole Fanatics have a tendency to teeter on the edge of going over the top!

Verity was a competitive rhythmic gymnast (hoop, ball, rope, clubs, ribbon) appearing in state, national and international competitions. She went on to become a coach and a judge, and has also trained at a performing arts school in all forms of dance. Bec was a competitive artistic gymnast (floor, bars, beam, vault) competing in local and national meets. She coached recreationally, and then began dancing recreationally before deciding it wasn’t as fun as gymnastics.
Jacquie has always had a love of dance, stepping on stage for the first time aged 5. She was Classically trained with the Southern Ballet Company in New Zealand for 17 years. Moving to London she delved into the circus arts and trained and performed extensively throughout Europe. She believes a great show in any genre is one that blends hardcore strength with beautiful flow, choreography pertinent to the piece, but overall one that entertains and draws the audience in from the second the performer steps on stage, to the moment they leave!
Emma and Karly decided to pair up as duo act as they found their approach to pole dance and choreography to be synonymous. Both have explored the many facets of pole as well as acrobatics, adagio and lyrical dance. They enjoy combining different dance styles into a well-thought out routine that takes the audience on a journey and tell a story. This is reflected through their strong routine narratives, dynamic song cuts and incredible costumes.
The VertiGirls all started at Miss Fit Dance Studio as raw beginners and with no dance background. They have since progressed to our highest student level where they not only provide inspiration for up and coming students but also act as pole ambassadors to a wider audience. They have performed for charity fund-raisers, and recently competed as finalists in the Pole Games in Melbourne. Pole is their passion, power and glory.
